Reflection

What’s with the intractability? Don’t test me.
I walk in humility, I don’t live silly.
You’d best be smarter than a billy…
there you go again with that goat!
Keep it for your tumble.
You sure seem likely to fall and I’ll always be more notable to quote.
I’ll digress to explore more the company of ilk of mine –
not robbery of wounded pride.
Besides, I’d rather devise a brine with a side of hummus
to while away my time rather than reminding you you’re not for the grind.

In quietude I seek solitude to engender with gratitude.
My Heavenly Father the only worthy to see my nude, me laid bare.
I stray from being a blunder – what a sign I’m under.
A cross with all roads leading me home – the most…
yes, I love to boast.
A blackened sun lends itself to the array of the cosmos,
but a blood moon causes me to re-read the Word –
morning, night, and noon.
Light enveloped in an eclipse loses no momentum;
the science guarded by the LORD’s wings unclipped.
Father deliver me anew, this I pray to you.
Repentance has shown me the error of my ways to enrich my days.
Without a stone to throw I’ll not hurry to get over – I’ve more to discover.
My true nature, made more of scholar and hunter ‘stead of
ignorant and prey, dear LORD help me seek peace your way.
