You shouldn’t have stepped up to me like you’re my competition.
If you fail to realize there is no such contention.
I will tell your life’s true tale – derision.
The chronicle of which belongs in the newspapers;
only the back pages –
the front’s for me, the sagest.
You should try being a hanger on-er without honor,
an ex-wife to a corpse in the swamps,
a lackey, or another such job that involves chewing tobaccy.
I’m vetted so I just do it for fun.
When you do it, it just sounds dumb.
I always come equipped.
and in my footsteps you’ll trip.
